This is more than 11 strategies-each on has it’s own content and that includes even more strategies and tips. I like the inclusion of information and tips on math anxiety and engaging unmotivated learners. The cognition used to solve math problems are explained. There are engaging quotes and jokes provided that lighten the subject and many students would appreciate these to lessen their own math anxiety. A review of math lingo might be useful to both students and parents who are helping their children with homework. There are tips that are useful to special needs students and their parents. "As a math teacher of over 11 years. I loved this book. Gives examples of setting up your class to be engaging as well as manipulatives that would be best to use. It takes a multiple approach standpoint because kids are not one size fits all. Recommend!"
